DISPOSAL OF SHARPS CONTAINER
Please do not put sharps into your regular garbage or attempt to empty the needles out, as this is very unsafe. Also, there may be a $500 fine for any sharps found in regular household trash.
You can purchase a biohazard sharps container at the locations listed and other pharmacies in the community. When the container is full, dispose of the sharps container at the designated disposal sites listed on this page.
Bay Area Hospital does not collect or DISPOSE sharps from the public.
